As the common task for this second year had been "ECOSYSTEMS" and we had been preparing e-learning sequences about different plants and animals in the three countries, we had an idea for the third step of communication (you can see the agreements in the section 'conclusions- after the meetings').

The students would have to prepare a message with an species in danger of extinction (+ photo) for their correspondents and ask them about the same topic.

This is an example of what they did:

Accipiter gentilis- Northern Goshawk

Goshawk (Accipiter gentiles’ scientific name) is a bird and belongs to the hawk family. This bird is endangered, we it is on the red-list. We have to take good care of our animals. It prefers tall and old coniferous forests. Short, broad wings and long narrow tail makes it well suited for controlled hunting and can fly quickly between branches and trees. The nest is large and located in the tree. It is often used for several years in a row. The male usually builds the nest alone.
Diet: Small mammals and birds, mice, squirrels, hares, small birds, thrush, etc.One way to get observed goshawk is to notice the crows that creates riot and chase on a particular area.
* Do you have the same animal/plant in your country? Is it on the red-list as well?”

This is another message from a Spanish student.

3rd Exchange of information- Comenius Project.

By Miriam – 4th E – Spain

We have these species in Sierra de Guara- North of Spain, which we have vivited with our teachers on an excursion.
The average size of this species is 2.5 metres, although some specimens can reach 2.8 meters. It has long, narrow, angular wings and a long diamond shape tail. Ochraceous head with a moustache who stands out. Plumage colour varies greatly with age, distinguishing up to 4 different colours throughout the life of the animal. It is called ‘bone breaker’ because they break the bones to eat what is inside.
It is in danger of extinction and PROTECTED**

Here are some examples done by Austrian students:
